About DP

DP Roberts is, as you may have guessed, a shared persona for several of us at Construx who help keep our friends and clients informed of our activities. DP is based on the character Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride. As in the book and the movie, where different people embody the dread pirate over time, so it is at Construx, where we take turns donning the DP mantle to create and send out communications.

We like to think that, because DP is a collective, she has over 100 combined years of experience in just about every industry you can imagine. DP has written code on embedded systems, transitioned teams to agile, administered databases, written requirements, automated tests, refined backlogs, designed scalable architectures, and matched wits with a Sicilian when death was on the line.

If you follow DP closely, you may start to see the different personalities behind the persona, even if you don’t wear a mask and carry a sword.
